PHØNIX, prevously known as Emil Storløkken Åse’s PHOENIX, has quickly emerged as an exciting and energetic jazzrock trio! Performing at stages and clubs across Norway, this mythical beast of a band has impressed audiences and critics with their groovy riffs, powerful interplay and joyful energy.
With electric guitars, baritone saxophone and drums, the trio seamlessly blends rock with jazz, psychedelica,prog, avant-garde, and pop. Imagine Jimi Hendrix meeting Terje Rypdal, mixed with the soundtrack of old western movies.

In November 2024, they will release their second album, “Intergalloptic Roundtrip”. This double-LP concept album, brings PHØNIX’s eclectic, desert-themed music into space for an epic sonic journey.
